One of the most important steps you can take to make sure your wedding photos turn out beautifully is to pick the right venue! So much goes into picking the right venue: headcount, location, vibes (can we say VIBES again!?). So let us take a minute and tell you about one of our absolute FAVORITE wedding venues in Raleigh.

The Meadows at Firefly Farm Preserve in Raleigh, NC is one of the Triangle’s prettiest and most versatile outdoor wedding venues. True to its name, The Meadows at Firefly Farm Preserve has the best outdoor wedding ceremony locations in Raleigh. You can host your ceremony in the Valley, Meadows, or Wooded Chapel space. All three of these outdoor ceremony spaces are beautiful, elegant, and sooooo dreamy and romantic. As a NC Wedding Photographer, It’s hard to pick a favorite! But I think we might like the Meadows space best!

Can we talk for a second about how freaking BEAUTIFUL The Meadows is?! Our favorite thing about The Meadows wedding venue is that there is an amazing photo opportunity around every corner. At Annie & Collin’s wedding, we made use of the glass doors of Heron Hall, the bar, the swing, and of course the meadows themselves for modern and sweet couples’ portraits. We love photographing at wedding venues like The Meadows because we can do something different with each couple depending on the vibe, and every wedding feels fresh!

While the outdoor wedding spaces at The Meadows at Firefly Farm really shine, this wedding venue also has some really amazing indoor spaces. Our favorite is Aerie House – check out the gorgeous shots of Ani’s dress hanging on Aerie House’s wide, southern style porch. The House has a lovely getting ready space, and is just filled with beautiful natural light. It’s a perfect space for you and your wedding party to get ready, hang out, and enjoy those last few moments before you get married!

The Meadows’ Heron Hall is a modern and elegant space for receptions, and serves as a lovely rainy day ceremony backup plan. The Hall doesn’t need much decoration to look beautiful, but it’s clean slate does serve as an excellent backdrop for your carefully selected details. We know you put lots of time and thought into your colors and details, so let’s let them shine! And after you’ve enjoyed dinner, Heron Hall is the perfect spot for your dance party, cocktail hour hang out, and evening party. We love that the bar faces both inside and outside, so that your guests can either dance the night away, or enjoy a beautiful North Carolina evening on the patio.
