The Hayton’s Wedding at The Graham Mill | North Carolina Wedding Photographers

We recently had the pleasure of photographing the most beautiful wedding at The Graham Mill in Graham, North Carolina. This venue is something out of a dream! It’s got exposed brick, exposed beams, and even garage doors – it’s like the perfect blend of rustic and modern, industrial and chick. It’s no wonder The Graham Mill is one of the most unique North Carolina wedding venues we have seen in a while.

The couple, Matt and Gabby, are absolute gems. Matt is a true and true North Carolinian, while Gabby hails from the big city of New York. They decided to tie the knot in North Carolina, which will be their new home.

What struck me about this wedding was how intentional everything was. The decor that the bride carefully DIYed was stunning and they even printed some of their engagement pictures to use as decor as well. They also opted for a first look and read private vows to each other before the ceremony. It was such a touching moment, and we were grateful to be able to capture it in both photo and video.

Because they did the first look and private vows, we had plenty of time for family portraits and some awesome wedding party photos before the ceremony. It made the whole day flow so smoothly, and we were able to capture some truly candid and intentional shots.

After the ceremony, we all took a little stroll to the courthouse that’s only a couple of blocks away from their wedding venue, The Graham Mill. One of our favorite things about this North Carolina wedding venue, is the location since it’s in the heart of downtown Graham with plenty of spots for photos nearby. The wedding party was up for anything and we had so much fun taking more photos there. The newlywed portraits outside the courthouse turned out absolutely stunning too!

I have to give a shout out to the day of coordinator, Hannah B Events. She made everything run smoothly and was so incredibly helpful. Seriously, one of the best coordinators and wedding planners in North Carolina!

And let’s not forget about the food. The catering team, Funky Fresh, completely blew us away, as always! Their culinary creations were both modern and delicious. Working with them was an absolute pleasure.

One of the highlights of the night was that right before the send-off, Gabby surprised Matt by changing into another outfit. And guess what? She rocked cowboy boots to showcase her love and appreciation for her new home in the countryside of North Carolina. Could they be any more adorable? Of course, we had to take some direct flash photos to capture the fun and energetic vibe of the moment.

This wedding was an absolute dream to photograph. It had all the elements of timeless romance, genuine candid moments, and a touch of adventurous spirit. We feel truly blessed to be able to capture these precious memories for couples like Matt and Gabby.
